Willy came in from the Palm Beach Race track. He never actually raced there. In schooling races he would try to chase the lure but could only run slowly around the track and couldn't keep up with the other greyhounds at all. So he retired without an official race. When we took him to our vet we found out there was a reason that he couldn't run. He has a very weak heart that is failing. Our vet guesses that Willy only has about a year to live. Our vet decided to adopt him and give him the best care and meds he can possibly have in what little time he has left. Willy is a sweet, brindle boy that is very loving. His sire is Kiowa Wish Frank and his dam is Rosalina. He is a very young guy that won't even turn 2 until October 29th.
Willy lived a great but short life with Dr Wiltsie. She was able to give him more time than she thought and he lived until September 13th 2018. Willy was also known as the Goat. He went to work with his mom at Healthpointe Veterinary Clinic and was spoiled rotten by the staff there. Goodbye sweet WillyGoat. You will be missed.
