Additional Details:

Nickle just arrived from the Lester Raines Kennel at Palm Beach. She raced most of her 114 races at Tri-State in West Virginia though. She was a very good racer, racing at the top AA level at Tri-State. She is a very unusual black brindle girl that at first glance looks completely black. If you look close you can see faint orange stripes barely visible in her fur though. Nickle raced at 64lbs. She will turn 4 on November 23rd. Her sire is the famous Defrim Bale from Australia and her dam is Big Ego. Nickle passed her cat test easily without much interest. She also passed her small dog test easily so should be able to live with either. She is a bit overwhelmed by all the changes in her life but is calmly friendly and will stand next to you to be petted and will look up into your eyes with the sweetest expression on her face. She was a little whiny in her crate but did quiet down eventually. She may not be quiet enough to be an apartment dog though. She seems like a very calm girl. She is pretty good on leash too. Nickle has a broken rib on one side, what they call the floating rib, that is the last one before her waist. It is a very old injury from when she was a tiny pup. It can happen if a pup is stepped on by the mother or during the birthing process. It does make a noticeable bump on one side. Our vet didn't believe it needed to be removed since it is such an old injury and is not causing her any pain.
