Additional Details:
Sherwin came in from the Blanchard Kennel at Orange Park. He only had 3 schooling races and finished toward the back of the pack in the first two and pulled up and nearly stopped in the last one. His last race was in January but they kept him at the track for a long time before they made the decision to officially retire him. Sherwin raced at 75lbs. He turned 2 on June 20th. He was adopted in May but has been returned by his family due to some personal issues, not anything he did. They were heartbroken to have to return him to us for rehoming. They said he is a very good boy and has excellent house manners. Sherwin's sire is P's Gibbs and his dam is Zero. He seemed a little timid and overwhelmed when he first arrived from the track but warmed up right away in foster care. After just a day or two he became a friendly guy that would seek out attention. He is great with the other greyhounds, male and female in his foster home. He also passed his cat and small dog tests easily. Sherwin seems to love the kids he has met too. He loves to lay on doggy beds and is calm in the house but also has an active fun playful side too. He has done great with his potty training and didn't have one accident in the house when he came from the track or when he was returned to his foster home. He doesn't get up on the furniture and only comes in the kitchen if invited. He is very quiet so may be a good choice for apartment living. He has not been using a crate in his previous home or in his foster home currently.
