Additional Details:

Vulcan is a dark brindle male greyhound that initially came in from the Birmingham Race Track. He also raced very briefly at Palm Beach and Ebro tracks in Florida. He only had a total of 14 races and only won one of those. He didn't place in any of his other races and usually finished last. His sire is Heart Rumble and his dam is BI's Owens Girl. Vulcan turned 3 on October 2nd. Vulcan was in a home since December of 2014 and did great there.  Vulcan was returned to us because of a divorce and a move. His first owner was heartbroken to have to give him up. Vulcan was quickly adopted out again in November of 2015 but is being returned to us again because they don't have a fenced yard and they think he would enjoy running around more. Vulcan is so good with cats and small animals that he was living with an exotic animal rehabber and he was good with all the wild animals there. Rick is a friendly boy that is very well behaved and sweet. Neither of his previous homes have reported any behavior problems.

Vulcan was adopted by his foster home in 2016 and crossed the bridge in July of 2019 after a bout with a tick disease caused an immune disorder that he wasn't able to survive. He was known by his family as BDE Best Dog Ever and was the heart dog of his owner Amy. Vulcan was a goofy, bouncy boy that loved people. Vulcan was found most Saturdays at the Greyhound Crossroads tent at the Augusta Market and wooed many potential adopters. Vulcan was a certified therapy dog. He was lost far too young, he turned 6 October 2nd of 2018.
